Entering the teaching profession in 1997, Nathan Gildart teaches IBMYP Individuals & Societies and IBDP History and holds a range of educational technology certifications from varying platforms and applies them to his own teaching practice. He is based at Nagoya International School in Japan, where he is also Department Learning Leader (HoD), Model United Nations Director, TED-Ed Club Supervisor, and Soccer Coach. Gildart is also a former Instructional Technology Coach. He presents regularly at educational technology events in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region with a number of professional organizations, including international schools, Google for Education (Japan), Apps Events, Deploy Learning, Designed for Learning, 21st Century Learning Hong Kong, coordinates Edcamp Nagoya (and former Edcamp Tokyo, Edcamp Kansai), and frequently offers online webinars.
